The brief

A private client asked for a compact 62 m² home on Canada’s Pacific coast that would feel calm, intimate and closely connected to the landscape outside — a retreat rather than a showpiece.

The concept

A charismatic and intimate interior reflecting strong yet subtle natural motifs. Dynamic, sculptural shapes give the space its character, while a palette of tones found in nature keeps the overall feeling exceptionally gentle and soothing.

Materials

Warm woods, textured stone and soft natural textiles carry the concept through every room, so the space reads as a single, continuous idea rather than a series of decorated rooms.
